In individual cases it is difficult to say much with certainty, however as a general statement there is sound reason to believe that souls often (even usually) reincarnate in groups across the aeons.
The ties you feel quite likely suggest what you believe. This bond will doubtless continue until it runs its course (if that ever happens).
