"Nothing But The Blood"
By Ben Ruach HaKodesh (John of AllFaith) 03.29.10
"And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission" -- Hebrews 9:22
The Blood
This theme runs throughout the Tanakh (Hebrew Bible/“Old Testament”) and the books of the B'rit Hadashah (or Christian “New Testament”). Blood is the theme of both Passover and Resurrection Sunday. The Blood resides at the heart of biblical religion. Understanding this topic will help one to understand the Will of HaShem, the redemption of the Jewish and Gentile Believers, the atonement provided by Master Y’shua and the events now dawning in our beleaguered world as we approach the establishment of the Kingdom. This is topic of this study.
Shortly after the expulsion of Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden their two sons, Cain (Kayin) and Abel (Hevel), prepared an offering to HaShem (the God of Israel). Of these offerings we read:
Genesis 4:3 And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit of the ground an offering unto HaShem.
4:4 And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And HaShem had respect unto Abel and to his offering:
4:5 But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.
4:6 And HaShem said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance fallen?
4:7 If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.
4:8 And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.
4:9 And HaShem said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper?
4:10 And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.
4:11 And now art thou cursed from the earth, which hath opened her mouth to receive thy brother's blood from thy hand;
4:12 When thou tillest the ground, it shall not henceforth yield unto thee her strength; a fugitive and a vagabond shalt thou be in the earth.
We know from the Scriptures that humans were vegetarian (probably vegan) until after the flood, but here we find the first grain and animal sacrifices.
When studying the Word we are looking for two main things: 1) the surface teachings and 2) the deeper teachings. Both are important. On the surface, two men made offerings. One was accepted, one was not. What these offerings signified and why one was accepted while the other was rejected brings us into midrash or interpretation. Both are needed in order to “rightly divide the word of truth” as we are taught (II Thessalonians 2:15). These necessary interpretations must never contradict the surface teachings nor the context. This is a vital key to proper study. If our understandings go afield from the surface meanings of the text we need to prayerfully reconsider our beliefs.
We know that Cain’s offering was rejected, but why? HaShem told him, “If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted?” Cain clearly did not “do well” with his offering. As far as we know from the text no specific instructions had yet been given to Cain or Abel about how to properly sacrifice unto HaShem, and yet Abel’s offering was accepted while Cain’s was not. Something critical was obviously missing from Cain’s offering. Therefore “sin lieth at the door,” sin was waiting to overtake him.
What is sin?
I John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the Torah.
As we see as we continue, the central command of the Torah is faith in HaShem. And so...
Romans 14:23 …whatsoever is not of faith is sin.
Cain performed the physical requirements of a sacrifice but he did not make the true sacrifice, the sacrifice of his heart. His sacrifice lacked faith. For this reason HaShem says to those with a similar lack of faith later on:
Deuteronomy 10:12 And now, Israel, what doth HaShem thy God require of thee, but to fear HaShem thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve HaShem thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul,
10:13 To keep the commandments of HaShem, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?
10:14 Behold, the heaven and the heaven of heavens is HaShem's thy God, the earth also, with all that therein is.
10:15 Only HaShem had a delight in thy fathers to love them, and he chose their seed after them, even you above all people, as it is this day.
10:16 Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiffnecked.
Cain lacked this quality. His actions were fine but his heart was not.
Abel offered a blood sacrifice and this HaShem accepted. His offering was not accepted because it contained blood, but because it was offered in faith. We are told this in the Scriptures:
Hebrews 11:4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
Symbolism of the Blood
At the same time however the fact that Abel’s was a blood offering is significant because of what the blood signifies.
This is not the place to go into too much detail about the use of blood in sacrifices however the symbolism of blood needs to be understood. Biblically blood is very precious.
Cain killed Abel as is widely known, but consider HaShem’s reaction to this first murder:
Genesis 4:9 And HaShem said unto Cain, Where is Abel thy brother? And he said, I know not: Am I my brother's keeper?
4:10 And he said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto me from the ground.
The voice of your brother's blood cries unto me from the ground! The text grants consciousness to blood! Abel’s blood cried out to HaShem at this crime.
Time went by and humanity grew progressively more evil until HaShem finally destroyed all life on the planet, save those who were on the ark with Noach (Noah). Upon leaving the ark our father Noah offered a blood sacrifice of certain animals to HaShem. Following this sacrifice HaShem authorized humans to eat meat with a very interesting caveat:
Genesis 9:1 And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.
9:2 And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered.
9:3 Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.
9:4 But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.
9:5 And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man's brother will I require the life of man.
9:6 Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.
HaShem informs Noah that “life” (or vitality: the nephesh in the Hebrew) of the various creatures resides within the blood.
Notice how verse four is handled in the Literal Translation of the Bible:
Genesis 9:4 But you shall not eat flesh in its life, its blood.
That essence or substance of life must never be consumed. As one studies the kosher laws given to the Jews one finds this prohibition stressed again and again. Before eating the flesh the blood must always be properly drained:
Leviticus 3:17 It shall be a perpetual statute for your generations throughout all your dwellings, that ye eat neither fat nor blood.
Deuteronomy 12:23 Only be sure that thou eat not the blood: for the blood is the life; and thou mayest not eat the life with the flesh.
12:24 Thou shalt not eat it; thou shalt pour it upon the earth as water.
12:25 Thou shalt not eat it; that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, when thou shalt do that which is right in the sight of HaShem.
There is something about blood that sets it apart from all other material substances. One of the Ten Plagues sent upon the Egyptians was that the waters were turned to blood (Exodus 7:19). Utilizing the blood was a key responsibility of the Levitical priesthood as we read in the following examples:
Leviticus 1:5 And he shall kill the bullock before HaShem: and the priests, Aaron's sons, shall bring the blood, and sprinkle the blood round about upon the altar that is by the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.
3:2 And he shall lay his hand upon the head of his offering, and kill it at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation: and Aaron's sons the priests shall sprinkle the blood upon the altar round about.
7:14 And of it he shall offer one out of the whole oblation for an heave offering unto HaShem, and it shall be the priest's that sprinkleth the blood of the peace offerings
There are many many such verses of instruction.
Moshe and the Exodus
Moshe (whom we usually refer to as Moses) wrote the first five books of the Bible (the Torah or Pentateuch). We will now consider his autobiography of the Exodus focusing on the Passover. By this point Joseph (Yosef or Yosi) had already rescued ‘people Israel’ – the descendants of Jacob (Ya’akov)/Israel – by bringing them into Egypt where they survived the terrible famine. As the story of Moses opens Joseph and his Pharaoh have both died and another Pharaoh has arisen. Despite the famous Cecil B DeMille movie, this Pharaoh could not have been Ramses II (1290-1224 B.C.E.) who built the royal city of Pi-Ramesse because the dates don’t add up. Most likely Moses was born during the reign of Pharaoh Thutmusi I (third Pharaoh of the 18th dynasty who reigned 1540 – 1504 B.C.E.). This is calculated by adding 80 years (Moses’ age at the Exodus according to Exodus 7:7) to the known date of the Exodus: 1447 B.C.E. We know this date of the Exodus because according to I Kings 6:1 King Solomon began building the Jerusalem Temple in the fourth year of his reign (said to be 480 years after the Exodus). It is generally agreed by scholars that the fourth year of King Solomon's reign was 967 B.C.E., making the date of the Exodus 1447 B.C.E. (967 + 480).
So this brings us to 1527 B.C.E. for Moses’ birth and the reign of Pharaoh Thutmusi I. According to the famed Jewish historian Josephus in his Antiquities of the Jews, Pharaoh’s daughter – who would have been the one to find Moses hidden in his basket on the banks of the Nile and to raise him as her own (as described at Exodus 1:22-2:10), was named Thermuthis. This fits what is known.
Assuming therefore that it was Pharaoh Thutmusi I who ordered the murder of all the Jewish children in Egypt (Exodus 1:22), it seems certain that Pharaoh Thutmusi II was in power when Moses killed the Egyptian (for beating a Jewish slave) and fled for his life to the Land of Midian (Exodus 2:15). Then, as recorded at Exodus 2:23, Pharaoh Thutmusi II died making Pharaoh Thutmusi III Pharaoh during the events of the Exodus.
The Ten Plagues
HaShem instructed Moses to return to Egypt from Midian – along with Arron – during the reign of Pharaoh Thutmusi III and order him, in the Name of HaShem, to “Let my people go!”
Thutmusi III of course refused to comply with the Order of God and so HaShem wrought great wonders through His servants Moses and Aaron against the Egyptian government and land. Lessons that are still remembered today. Here is a list of the Ten Plagues unleashed against the Egyptians:
1. Water to Blood
7:19 And HaShem spake unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and stretch out thine hand upon the waters of Egypt, upon their streams, upon their rivers, and upon their ponds, and upon all their pools of water, that they may become blood; and that there may be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood, and in vessels of stone.
2. Frogs
8:2 And if thou refuse to let them go, behold, I will smite all thy borders with frogs:
8:3 And the river shall bring forth frogs abundantly, which shall go up and come into thine house, and into thy bedchamber, and upon thy bed, and into the house of thy servants, and upon thy people, and into thine ovens, and into thy kneading troughs:
8:4 And the frogs shall come up both on thee, and upon thy people, and upon all thy servants.
3. Gnats or Lice
8:16 And HaShem said unto Moses, Say unto Aaron, Stretch out thy rod, and smite the dust of the land, that it may become lice throughout all the land of Egypt.
4. Flies
8:21 Else, if thou wilt not let my people go, behold, I will send swarms of flies upon thee, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people, and into thy houses: and the houses of the Egyptians shall be full of swarms of flies, and also the ground whereon they are.
5. Livestock Diseased
9:3 Behold, the hand of HaShem is upon thy cattle which is in the field, upon the horses, upon the asses, upon the camels, upon the oxen, and upon the sheep: there shall be a very grievous murrain.
6. Boils
9:8 And HaShem said unto Moses and unto Aaron, Take to you handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it toward the heaven in the sight of Pharaoh.
9:9 And it shall become small dust in all the land of Egypt, and shall be a boil breaking forth with blains upon man, and upon beast, throughout all the land of Egypt.
7. Thunder and Hail
9:18 Behold, to morrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as hath not been in Egypt since the foundation thereof even until now.
8. Locusts
10:4 Else, if thou refuse to let my people go, behold, to morrow will I bring the locusts into thy coast:
10:5 And they shall cover the face of the earth, that one cannot be able to see the earth: and they shall eat the residue of that which is escaped, which remaineth unto you from the hail, and shall eat every tree which groweth for you out of the field.
9. Darkness
10:21 And HaShem said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt.
10:22 And Moses stretched forth his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days
10. Death of the Firstborn
11:4 And Moses said, Thus saith HaShem, About midnight will I go out into the midst of Egypt:
11:5 And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the first born of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that is behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts.
As we consider the present attempts by the United States and its Muslim allies to destroy Israel these plagues should lead us into serious prayer!
The Passover
Exodus 12:1 And HaShem spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying,
12:2 This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.
12:3 Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:
12:4 And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb.
12:5 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:
12:6 And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.
12:7 And they shall take of the blood, and strike it on the two side posts and on the upper door post of the houses, wherein they shall eat it.
12:8 And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.
12:9 Eat not of it raw, nor sodden at all with water, but roast with fire; his head with his legs, and with the purtenance thereof.
12:10 And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; and that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire.
12:11 And thus shall ye eat it; with your loins girded, your shoes on your feet, and your staff in your hand; and ye shall eat it in haste: it is HaShem'S passover.
12:12 For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am HaShem.
12:13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.
12:14 And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to HaShem throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance for ever.
This is the origin of the Passover feast. It commemorates HaShem leading His people out of bondage in Egypt and into Eretz Israel, the divinely-decreed eternal homeland of the Jewish people.
The enslaved descendants of Israel/Jacob were commanded to show their faith in Moses’ prophetic words by sacrificing unblemished lambs to HaShem according to specific directions. This included the necessity of bleeding the animals properly.
Note what they did with the blood! They were told to take of the blood and mark the two side posts and upper door post of their houses. This showed that the inhabitants had accepted the promise of God’s protection proclaimed by His servants Moshe and Arron. All who failed to exercise their faith in this way and mark their doors with the blood would suffer as the firstborn throughout all the land of Egypt died that night. The only exceptions were those who had sacrificed the lamb of God and signified it by marking their door posts with the Blood.
Since this night the Jewish people have always prayed, “Next year in Yerushaláyim!” Yerushaláyim or Jerusalem is the eternal capital of the Jewish nation and the very heart of the Jewish people.
What saved the Israelites?
Was it the careful choosing and separating of the lambs? No.
Was it the proper ritual slaughtering of the lambs? No.
Was it the details of their sacrifices such as roasting by fire etc.? No.
Was it the marking of their doors with the blood? No.
Was it the blood itself? No.
Hebrews 11:24 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter;
11:25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;
11:26 Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.
11:27 By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.
11:28 Through faith he kept the passover, and the sprinkling of blood, lest he that destroyed the firstborn should touch them.
FAITH in HaShem saved the Israelites.
Because they had faith in the Word of HaShem they chose the lamb from its peers, they kept it aside as directed, they prepared and cooked it as instructed, they took its blood and sprinkled their door posts as commanded. But none of these actions saved them! FAITH saved the Jews and based upon their faith they obeyed the Words of HaShem.
This is the repeating theme of the Tanakh and the books of the B’rit Hadashah. It is faith that brings liberation, salvation and sanctification.
After leaving Egypt the Hebrews crossed the Red Sea and journeyed down to Mount Sinai where they received the Torah and committed themselves and their descendents to the responsibilities of being the Elect of HaShem, a nation of priests (compare Exodus 19:6). HaShem established the House of Levi (L’vi) as the priesthood for the Jewish people even as the Jews were anointed the priests of humanity. Among their most sacred tasks was the offering of the blood in sacrifice. These blood sacrifices were essential to the community of Israel and their service, however it was FAITH in HaShem not the specifics of the sacrifices that brings redemption as Prophet Micah and others make clear:
Micah 6:6 Wherewith shall I come before HaShem, and bow myself before the high God? shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves of a year old?
6:7 Will HaShem be pleased with thousands of rams, or with ten thousands of rivers of oil? shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?
6:8 He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth HaShem require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
But the Jewish people failed to utilize the opportunity HaShem set before them. This is clear from the pages of the Tanakh. Time and time again they allowed their faith to waver demonstrating their inability to deserve the blessings granted by the Torah. It was clear that their sacrifices, even if properly performed, would not be able to purify the sins of a people lacking in faith. Something more would be required.
Moshiach
From Prophet Moses onward it was revealed that one day HaShem would raise up a Jew, perfect and without blemish, signified by the Passover lamb, who would redeem not only the Jews, but all of humanity.
Deuteronomy 18:15 HaShem thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall hearken;
As Master Y’shua said, citing Prophet Hosea (Hosea 6:6), HaShem wants compassion, not animal sacrifices (Matthew 9:13). One day, Moses told his people, HaShem will send you a prophet with this message! And He did!
As I discuss elsewhere, at Daniel 9:21-26 Prophet Daniel pinpointed the date when Moshiach (Y’shua) would enter Jerusalem to the cries of “Hosanna to the Moshiach” (Matthew 21) as the Holy Prophets foretold!
Zechariah 9:9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.
Five days after this prophecy was fulfilled the Master was betrayed for thirty pieces of silver, arrested, beaten and hung on a stake to die as the prophets also foretold.
(The word commonly translated as “cross” is stauros and signifies a pointed stake not a cross. The cross was an ancient Pagan symbol inserted as one of several unbiblical traditions later by the Catholic Church as they sought to establish their universal ("catholic") power.)
On the stauros Master Y’shua poured out his blood as the final Passover lamb... exactly as the prophets had foretold.
The Jewish teachers of the day taught that Moshiach would come as a great and powerful warrior-king. Even though the image of the suffering Moshiach is also found in the Tanakh, it was the promise of the warrior-king that the Tz'dukim (Sadducees) and P'rushim (Pharisees/Rabbis) were anticipating. They had no use for a teacher of parables, for a humble Jew who said to love ones enemies!
In much the same way, today many of the remnant of sincere believers in Y'shua -- who still believe in the Bible and its prophecies -- are expecting the "gentle Jesus" to come and rescue them from the final "week" (the seven year reign of Rex Mundi) spoken of by Prophet Daniel and Y'shua (see part four of this study for more on this coming period). They believe they will be taken up to heavenly safety in what they call the Rapture of the Church. Large segments of the Christian Church are adamant about this teaching, even though the Prophets are abundantly clear that this time Moshiach will be coming as the Warrior-King of Israel! The remnant of Noahide Nazarene Believers, along with 144,000 faithful Jews, will stand or fall in His service! Moshiach will be no babe in a manger this time! And the Remnant Church is not going anywhere! This new doctrine is weakening the faith and spiritual preparedness of those who will be called to STAND!
WHY the Jewish Elders Rejected Y'shua ben Miriam
I discuss these topics in more detail elsewhere, however the recorded questions of the disciples about when Y'shua would bring forth the Kingdom (Matthew 24:3, Acts 1:6 etc) speaks to this concern and to their understanding that establishing the Kingdom of HaShem on the Earth is the central role of Moshiach. Again his not doing this is one of the two main reasons the elders of Israel rejected Y'shua (the other was his rejection of the Oral Torah).
Today large segments of the Church are teaching he will not do it now either! They are teaching that the Kingdom exists only in Heaven or only in their denominations, among their members! But what was asked?
Acts 1:6 ....Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?
1:7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
He did not say "I already have" nor that he would establish it on the upcoming Day of Pentecost. No, he said it was not their lot to be privy to that information. The Kingdom of God IS NOT THE CHURCH otherwise it would have been established already! The Ruach HaKodesh or Holy Spirit of HaShem was given on the Day of Pentecost to empower the Way to do their jobs until the Kingdom was established.
Understand this well lest you be found to be standing against Y'shua and his Father!
Romans 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
11:26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
11:27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
11:28 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes.
11:29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.
11:30 For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:
11:31 Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.
11:32 For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.
The Jewish People, Israel, the Fig Tree, ARE the Elect of God! The Noahide followers of Master Y'shua have been "grafted on" to their Tree (Romans 11:24). Everything in the Bible revolves around HaShem's dealings with His Chosen People. As Master Y'shua explains:
Luke 21:24 And they [i.e. the Jewish people] shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.
How will those times end? The Master continues:
Luke 21:25 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
Luk 21:26 Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
He is referring to the final seven year tribulation period as discussed in the Tanakh at Haggai 2:6, 21, Daniel 7:13,14 etc.
Luke 21:27 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.
The Master will then come to rescue the Jewish people and all who stand with them (compare Matthew 24:22).
Can we know when these Last Times begin? We can!
Luke 21:28 And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.
21:29 And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree [Israel], and all the trees [the nations];
21:30 When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand.
21:31 So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.
21:32 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass away, till all be fulfilled.
Matthew's version is a bit clearer. Both versions tell us that this "fig tree" holds a deeper meaning. Matthew quotes Y'shua this way:
Matthew 24:32 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:
24:33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.
24:34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.
24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
This is a reference to Daniel's prophecy of Israel, as a mighty tree, being cut down and banded that it not put forth branches again until the End of Days (compare Daniel chapter 4).
Master Y'shua is telling us through parable that the generation that witnesses these bands being removed, that sees Israel again 'putting forth branches and leaves' will be the generation that witnesses the coming of Moshiach and the establishment of the the Theocratic Kingdom of HaShem!
From 606 B.C.E. Israel was never again an independent nation (other than during the brief Maccabees rebellion). This un-banding of the Tree occurred in either 1947 (when the nation was re-established) or 1968 (when Zion was united under Jewish control). It is no coincidence that the Globalists and their Muslim allies are so determined to divide Zion!
When it became clear to his hearers that Y'shua had no intention of establishing the Kingdom the Torah teachers assumed he was not the Moshiach. They considered many of his teachings heretical and if widely embraced they believed that the Jewish people would never stand up for themselves against the Romans. In Y'shua the Pharisees saw a heretic who was undermining the Oral Torah upon which their authority was largely built. Had they understood who he was they would have embraced his ministry and him as their King. Tens of thousands of Jews did "have ears to hear" and they accepted him (Acts 2:41, 4:4 etc).
Nevertheless, Ruach Hakodesh -- the Holy Spirit of HaShem -- had revealed several specific prophecies that the leaders of the Jewish people failed to understand or to take literally (this is one of the dangers of "spiritualizing" the Bible by the way, if a text makes literal sense take it literally). Such texts includes the following given in 487 B.C.E.:
Zechariah 11:12 And I said unto them, If ye think good, give me my price; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver.
11:13 And HaShem said unto me, Cast it unto the potter: a goodly price that I was prised at of them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver, and cast them to the potter in the house of HaShem.
This was fulfilled:
Matthew 26:14 Then one of the twelve, called Judas Iscariot, went unto the chief priests,
26:15 And said unto them, What will ye give me, and I will deliver him unto you? And they covenanted with him for thirty pieces of silver.
26:16 And from that time he sought opportunity to betray him....
26:48 Now he that betrayed him gave them a sign, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he: hold him fast.
26:49 And forthwith he came to Y'shua, and said, Hail, master; and kissed him.
27:1 When the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Y'shua to put him to death:
27:2 And when they had bound him, they led him away, and delivered him to Pontius Pilate the governor.
27:3 Then Judas, which had betrayed him, when he saw that he was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders,
27:4 Saying, I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood. And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that.
27:5 And he cast down the pieces of silver in the temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself.
27:6 And the chief priests took the silver pieces, and said, It is not lawful for to put them into the treasury, because it is the price of blood.
27:7 And they took counsel, and bought with them the potter's field, to bury strangers in.
27:8 Wherefore that field was called, The field of blood, unto this day.
27:9 Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremy the prophet, saying, And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him that was valued, whom they of the children of Israel did value;
27:10 And gave them for the potter's field, as HaShem appointed me.

Resurrection Sunday:
HaShem resurrects the Master from the dead early Sunday morning.
Matthew 27:50 Y’shua, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.
27:51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;
27:52 And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,
27:53 And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.
27:54 Now when the centurion, and they that were with him, watching Y'shua, saw the earthquake, and those things that were done, they feared greatly, saying, Truly this was the Son of God.
The curtain of the Temple was a massive partition. It was four inches thick, sixty feet long and thirty feet wide. It weighed about four tons and took 300 men to hold it. This was no mere shredding of a curtain! By this powerful act HaShem publicly proclaimed that the Way of Salvation had now been made available to all based solely on Faith, whether one was Jewish or from the Noahide nations, again as the prophets had foretold.
All who accept Y’shua as her/his final Passover Lamb and Cohen Hagadol (High Priest) 'mark the door posts of our hearts’ with his blood as symbolized in the Passover. HaShem grants us the faith to do this by His Grace alone. Thereby we escape the wrath of 'the Angel of Death' as he passes whether we live or whether we die because Y'shua said, "I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live" (John 11:25).
Ephesians 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
This phrase, "not of works" refers specifically to the deeds of the Law. Through Y'shua HaShem has offered salvation to all by faith in the Blood of the Lamb.
John 3:14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
3:18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
The message of Y'shua is not different than the message of Moshe nor those who came later. Salvation comes solely by the unmerited Grace of HaShem. It is not of works. It is freely granted to all who will receive it, Jews and Gentiles and alike.
Hosea 2:23 And I will sow her unto me in the earth; and I will have mercy upon her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to them which were not my people, Thou art my people; and they shall say, Thou art my God.
As with the former temple sacrifices this faith is actualized by blood: The Blood shed by Y’shua the Anointed. And then, as John recorded:
John 19:30 When Y’shua therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
Case For The Resurrection of Jesus - Dr. William Lane Craig
An Explanation to the Jewish Believers
The author of the Letter to the Hebrew Believers explains the centrality of faith as taught in the Tanakh. For the Jews to accept Y’shua as their Moshiach they must be shown that he fulfilled the detailed prophecies of the Tanakh. This is the goal of this important book. It will be well worth our time here to briefly consider what he says in this regard.
Hebrews 10:1 For the Torah [law] having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.
As one studies the Law or Torah and the rest of the Tanakh one finds ever more truth gradually revealed. Cain and Abel made their sacrifices but they understood little of the significance. Noah understood more but not until the giving of the Torah were the meanings made clear... and even those teachings and instructions were but a shadow of things to come. As discussed above Moshe says that one day Moshiach will come and expand their comprehension by writing the Torah on the hearts of His people.
As one goes through the Tanakh the prophets gradually reveal more detail to the people, none more so than Daniel when it comes to Moshiach, but in the end even he was told to seal up the knowledge because it would not be fully understood until the End of Days:
Daniel 12:4 But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
Then, as Daniel foretold (at Daniel 9:21-26) “Moshiach the Prince” came and poured out his blood.
The central message of the followers of Y'shua to the Hebrews is that Y'shua IS the "Moshiach the Prince" spoken of here. This is the Good News (or Gospel) they share with both the Jews and with those of the Noahide Nations. This prophecy was fulfilled as Y’shua made his triumphant entry into Jerusalem as King of the Jews as discussed above.
The Seventy Weeks of Daniel
Because of the Master's teachings the disciples and followers understood more than their predecessors, but even they did not have full understanding as is clear from the questions they asked. For instance at Acts 1:6 they ask “...wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?” not understanding that although the Master had fulfilled Daniel 9:21-26 the final statement of 26 as well as verse 27 would not be fulfilled until later. I don't want to get into this too deeply here, but the following cursory understanding seems important to our topic:
Daniel 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.
9:25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
9:26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.
This prophecy told the Magi (Matthew 2:1), the Scribes (Matthew 2:4) Simeon (Luke 2:26) and others that the time had arrived for the coming of Moshiach. The seventy weeks of this important prophecy are divided this way:
The first seven weeks = 49 years: rebuild Jerusalem
The sixty-two weeks = 434 years: coming of Moshiach followed by more desolation.
And then the final one week (see below) = 7 years: the yet future Tribulation Period
For a total of 490 years to finalize the prophecies and establish the Kingdom of HaShem.
Ezra 7:7 records the beginning of the first seven weeks of years when, during the seventh year of the reign of Artaxerxes (457 B.C.E.) this decree was issued.
When we begin with 457 B.C.E. -- when the decree was issued -- and add the 483 years of the first 69 weeks, we arrive at the year 26 C.E. (remember to subtract because we are going from B.C.E. to C.E.).
While Scripture does not directly state the precise month or year of the Master's birth, this calculation establishes the year of his triumphal entry into Jerusalem as King of the Jews. This procession into the city amidst the cheers of "Hosanna to the King!" doubtless led to the posting of this title ("King of the Jews") above his head in mockery upon his execution stake. Such a boisterous public proclamation must had caught the attention of everyone in the Holy City of HaShem. This also establishes the Master's year of birth 7 B.C.E. as many modern scholars believe most likely.
After Moshiach was "cut off" for the sins of the world (not for himself) or executed in 26 C.E. a bit of time passed and then "the people of the prince that shall come," namely the Roman general and later emperor Titus and his soldiers, destroyed the Holy City and the Sanctuary or Temple. Due to thwarted attempts in 69 CE Rome returned with a furious vengeance and -- like a desolating flood -- wiped out the Jews and obliterated the Temple... just as Master Y'shua foretold at Matthew 24:1,2. They renamed Judea Philistia (after the Greek Philistines). "Palestine" is a bastardization of this name. There have never been any "Palestinian people" other than the Jews.
The Second Exodus: Daniel's Seventieth Week
This leaves only the final, seventieth week for HaShem to "to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy (Daniel 9:24).
There are those who wrongly teach that the Seventieth Week prophecy was fulfilled when the Romans placed the Emperor's standards near the Temple (which led to the local uprising and subsequent mass destruction), but this can not be. Daniel is clear here that the final week will conclude with the establishment of the Theocratic Kingdom. In 70 C.E. the opposite happened! Judea (which at the time was only a Roman province anyway and not independent as prophesied) fell to the infidels and for the next 2000 plus years the Holy City was trampled underfoot by the nations (Holy Zion/Mount Moriah still is!). Clearly this final "week" has yet to occur!
No, the final Week of this prophecy is yet future. In the meantime desolation will continue until the End of the Times of Gentiles (Luke 21:11) as the closing words of verse 26 directly states.
Then, at some still future date:
Dan 9:27 And he [Rex Mundi/Antichrist] shall confirm the covenant with many for one week [seven years]: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.
Again I discuss this in detail elsewhere, however notice that following the destruction of the Temple in 70 CE the “war” will continue “until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.” What this means is made clear by the Master:
Matthew 23:36 Verily I say unto you, All these things shall come upon this generation.
23:37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!
23:38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.
23:39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of HaShem.
24:1 And Y’shua went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for to shew him the buildings of the temple.
24:2 And Y’shua said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
24:3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the age?
The “desolate” of Daniel 9:27 are the Jewish people. The “war” in a general sense is the Luciferian rebellion but more specifically refers to the war that witnessed the end of the last Jewish nation in 606 B.C.E. as Judea fell to Babylon. That war, Daniel explains, will continue to leave the Jews in a state of desolation (in the Diaspora) until the End of the Age when the Kingdom will again be restored by Moshiach.
The disciples, convinced that Y’shua is that Moshiach, understood his role in these things as is clear from the context. Y’shua spoke of this ongoing desolation that would even eventually destroy the Holy Temple (which occurred in 70 CE). The disciples, wanting to know more about the end of these desolations, the rebuilding of the Temple, and the restoration of the Kingdom to Israel specifically ask the Master about the end of the age when these things will occur. The King James translates aeon as “world” but the clear meaning of the word is “age.”
The reference is therefore clear. Moshiach was cut off, but not for himself (Daniel 9:26). Y’shua told them the Temple would be completely destroyed (Matthew 24:1,2) and that some period of time would pass until the “consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.” As for how long this period would last, the Master admitted that even he did not know that:
Mark 13:32 But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father.
He does however reveal conclusive information about how those living at that time can know when the end of the age has arrived. It has now arrived! Even as HaShem led the Israelites out of Egypt, through the Red Sea, to Mount Sinai and into the Promised Land of Eretz Israel, so to HaShem lead His people through the final Seven Years Tribulation Period, perform awesome acts, and deliver us into the Promised Land. We are now at the dawn of the Second Exodus!
The realization of God’s Purpose -- an Earthly Paradise -- will be revealed in the implementation of the Theocratic Kingdom. It is this kingdom the disciples are asking about at Matthew 24:3.
Continuing now with the our Hebrews passage:
Hebrews 10:2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.
10:3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.
10:4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.
Until the End of the Age does arrive, atonement will be required due to human sin. Why was it not possible for the blood of bulls and goats to remove our sins? It is because they were never intended to! How could they? The Temple sacrifices were merely outward symbols, meant to draw the worshiper into a state of repentance. Otherwise how would Jews living after 70 C.E. and the destruction of the Temple explain their continuing spiritual justification?
Orthodox Jews understand that HaShem looks at the heart, at sincere repentance... at ones faith for atonement. As we read:
But isn't a blood sacrifice required in order to obtain forgiveness?
No. Although animal sacrifice is one means of obtaining forgiveness, there are non-animal offerings as well, and there are other means for obtaining forgiveness that do not involve sacrifices at all. The Biblical book of Jonah tells of an entire community condemned to destruction that was forgiven when they simply repented and fasted, without ever offering any sacrifice, blood or otherwise. (Jonah 3) -- Source:
The act of sacrificing the animals were intended to indicate the seriousness of sin. The blood contained the nephesh or vital life-force of all those millions of sacrificed animals (Genesis 9:4 cited above). Their lives were given as partial payment (year after year) for our own lives... but we kept sinning and hardening our hearts to their suffering! The result of our ongoing sins was just ever more death and violence.
Hebrews 10:5 Wherefore when he [ie Y’shua] cometh into the world, he saith [ie to HaShem], Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:
10:6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.
10:7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.
10:8 Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;
10:9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.
Y’shua is referring to the following prophecy about himself:
Psalm 40:6 Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire; mine ears hast thou opened: burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required.
40:7 Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me,
40:8 I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.
40:9 I have preached righteousness in the great congregation: lo, I have not refrained my lips, O HaShem, thou knowest.
Master Y’shua therefore came as foretold (in the volumes of the Tanakh) to do HaShem’s Will and to make the final blood sacrifice that would redeem the human race.
We continue:
Hebrews 10:10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Y’shua the Anointed once for all.
Again, Y’shua made the final sacrifice: His own life, offering his own blood once and for all times.
Hebrews 10:11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:
10:12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;
The reason the Temple sacrifices could not atone for all sins was that once made the person committed more sins, thus requiring ever more sacrifices. Y’shua however by making one offering paid the price for all sins, past present and future and thereby offered reconciliation between the world and Holy God.
The Eternal Cohen Hagadol
The question of course is how this could be possible. If the sacrificed animals could not atone for future sins how could the sacrifice of Y’shua?
The animals that were sacrificed did not voluntarily lay down their lives nor could they intercede for those they represented. Y’shua on the other hand is not only our sacrifice, he is also our Cohen Hagadol or High Priest! As Cohen Hagadol Melchizedek Y’shua voluntarily took this role before the dawn of time. Lets look back briefly to the previous chapter for more on this:
Hebrews 9:24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:
9:25 Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;
9:26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
We continue now in chapter ten:
Hebrews 10:13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.
There is more to this verse than meets the eye. Here is what the author is quoting:
Psalm 110:1 HaShem said unto my adon [or lord], Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.
110:2 HaShem shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.
110:3 Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.
110:4 HaShem hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek
This is what the author is saying under inspiration. He is saying that Master Y’shua is the eternal Cohen Hagadol or High Priest of the Melchizedek Order who will, in the fulness of time, establish the Kingdom of HaShem. He is saying that the preexisting Y’shua led Israel and as the eternal Cohen Hagadol cared for them. He is saying that now (in the first century) our Cohen Hagadol has been given a physical body by HaShem (Hebrews 10:5 above) and has made the propitiation for all sin (Romans 3:25) by the shedding of his blood with a single sacrifice. Y’shua then took his seat at HaShem’s right hand. This is the real message of the Book of Hebrews. Y’shua is not someone who came onto the scene after the events of the Tanakh had all taken place! Rather, he has been the guiding influence in all of those events since before the beginning!
Colossians 1:12 Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light:
1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:
1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:
1:15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
1:16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
1:17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.
1:19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;
1:20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
1:21 And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled.
I discuss this topic in more detail HERE. Y’shua is the Only Begotten Son of HaShem. All other beings were created through him by HaShem, the One God.
Hebrews 10:14 For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
10:15 Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,
10:16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
10:17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
The prophetic reference being:
Jeremiah 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith HaShem, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
31:32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith HaShem:
31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith HaShem, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
This is precisely what Master Y’shua did. He shed his blood not to destroy the Torah, not to replace it as some teach, but to fulfill it! Hence the Master said:
Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
5:20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
Our Master revealed that HaShem has no need of sacrifices! No need of the blood of innocent animals! These things were but shadows of the things yet to be revealed. He taught that all who place their faith solely in HaShem – as activated by his shed blood on the stauros [stake, mistranslated as cross] as our Passover Lamb – receive the inward Torah which Ruach HaKodesh, the Spirit of HaShem, brings to mind (Deuteronomy 18:15, John 14:25,26).
Hebrews 10:18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
10:19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Y’shua,
10:20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
10:21 And having an high priest over the house of God;
10:22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.
10:23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
Throughout our generations therefore we remember with reverence when and how HaShem led His people Israel out of the land of Egypt with the Passover and Exodus.
And as followers of Y’shua the Anointed throughout our generations we remember with reverence when HaShem provided the final Passover Lamb and how, three and half days later, HaShem raised him from the dead. And by faith in the Word revealed through the holy prophets we await the now-dawning second Exodus as HaShem leads His people -- Jews and Gentiles -- into the Promised Kingdom!
This Resurrection Sunday let us therefore celebrate the God of Israel Who lead the Jews out of Egypt.
This Resurrection Sunday let us therefore celebrate the God of Israel Who revealed His Torah to Moshe, to the Jews, and to all of us who have been grafted onto the Tree of Israel (Romans 11).
This Resurrection Sunday let us therefore celebrate the God of Israel Who sent His only begotten Son Y’shua the Anointed as the final sacrifice for the sins of the world.
This Resurrection Sunday let us therefore celebrate the God of Israel Who will soon send Y’shua back as Moshiach to defeat the enemies of Israel and the remnant of the Way and establish the Thousand Year Kingdom of HaShem on this Earth.
And may we come to understand the deep and abiding significance of the Blood.
Amen.
