Answer: Hi Mary,
This wasn't a question, but I'm going to assume that your motives were above those of the normal spammers.
You wrote: "they [the books] are excellent and may help you understand what has happened to you"
You also wrote: "You need to focus on God's Word alone.. nothing else"
So, I need to focus on the "Bible alone" by reading these books instead of the Bible... OK...
What has "happened" to me? To what are you referring?
Would you like to tell me why I should spend $23. or so for what appears to be little more than another Christian Fundamentalist attack on other religions? The book's bio reads:
Book Description:
"Do you know how Satan can use "doorways" including yoga, role-playing games, and meditation, to bring demonic destruction into your home? In this spiritual warfare manual, Rebecca Brown writes from seven years experience helping deliver many people out of hardcore satanism. In this sequel to her best-selling book He Came to Set the Captives Free, you will learn to stand victoriously against Satan, deal with the dangerous New Age teachings, recognize and deal with satanic ritualistic abuse of children, minister in the area of deliverance, and handle the rarely discussed problems people face after deliverance. Satan hates you and wants to destroy you. To be victorious you must Prepare for War."This looks like one of countless similar books where instead of teaching Jesus' love and wisdom, the author seeks to scare people into conversion. Sorry, but my God doesn't use terrorist tactics.

Our conversation continues:
Hi Mary, Please see below for my response to your various questions. Your Comments/Questions Dear John: So sorry about your illness.JoA: I've been living with it since 1989 so I'm more or less used to it, but thanks.
>>.I will pray 4 you.
JoA: Prayer is always appreciated. >>Was wondering...you say you're a Christian--so why do you still dabble in Eastern Mysticism? JoA: I don't "dabble," I have spent many years studying the religions of the East in detail. >> God says we should "Have no other gods before Him"...etc... JoA: Absolutely true, and I have no other gods before Him and never have. >> also-do you chant?Do TM? Yoga? JoA: Not currently. I'm currently studying Maimonides, Noahidism and Judaism.
>> These are all openings for demonic oppression to occur which ties need to be severed if you are seeking a healing.
JoA: There is no biblical nor experiential evidence to support this teaching. This belief is one of the many Pagan superstitions and beliefs that have overlaid the teachings of Jesus. It is as John was told at Revelations 3:14-19.
>> Perhaps your illness has a spiritual root?
JoA: I believe all illnesses have spiritual roots in so far as God, who is Spirit, allows them. Everything in life is ultimately spiritual. As Paul, I have prayed that God would remove this "thorn in my flesh" but am content that "for me to live is Christ and to die is gain." There is a reason for the illness beyond what I understand.
>> Have you looked for a deliverance minister in CA?
JoA: Absolutely. I have gone to probably 50 meetings. And I remain ill.
>> Why are you involved with promoting homosexual lifestyle in the guise of a ministry?
JoA: I am a minister, I minister to people in need and pain as God leads me. I have seen so very much damage done by the teachings of the Laodecean Church to this community. God has allowed me to gain understanding into what the Bible does and does not teach in this area, and I pass this on to those who have been abandoned and condemned by much of the Church. People who promote the false teaching you do here, need to be countered by solid Bible doctrine. This is not like pre-trib or post-trib debates, this teaching, this heresy, is driving millions of people away from God, driving many to suicide and worse. And yet Jesus says, "Whosoever cometh unto me I will in no wise cast out." I am not "promoting homosexual lifestyles," I am sharing the Good News that God loves everyone regardless of their sexual orientation. There is a big difference.
>> God's Word says to live as a homosexual is an abomination...and people who do don't get to enter heaven...read Revelation...all of it!
JoA: I have not only read the Book of Revelation Mary, I have given many studies and sermons on it. There isn't even a single verse you can twist about homosexuality in the entire Book of Revelation. There are 2 verses in the Torah (both in Leviticus), the Sodom story (in Genesis)is sometimes twisted to teach this, and 3 in the New Testament that one can twist to teach this heresy, but in context, none of these do.
>> You seem to have a good heart and are so compassionate---but helping others find the truth so they can be saved is more important than "condoning" sin--which could cost them their souls.
JoA: I agree that condoning sin is bad, and were I doing that it would be a problem. I am not however.
Many Caucasian Christians used to teach that racism and slavery were biblical, some still do, they even had "proof texts" to back them up. I well remember my childhood Baptist preacher using the Bible to "prove" that people of African decent were cursed with the "Mark of Cain."
The Bible MUST be prayerfully understood in context. Paul calls this "rightly dividing the Word of Truth." When we examine what the Bible does and does not teach on this issue, we find that nowhere does it condemn committed same gender marriages among Christians (nor homosexuality in general, other than in those areas that apply to all sexuality. For instance it does forbid pre and extra marital sexual relations etc.), and I teach this.
>>Please seek a deliverance minister..you will be healed if you do, I believe..
JoA: In the past I believed this as well. After being prayed for many such people I no longer do however. I cannot tell you why God chooses to let me remain ill, nor do I know, but this is His right as I am His property and servant. He can do with me as He wills with my blessings.
>>God loves you...Mary
JoA: I don't doubt it for a moment :-)
